近日,笔者邻启小林夫妇要赴澳洲求学,唯一使他们夫妇俩放心不下的是两位60多岁的老人家林大伯和王大妈今后生活谁来照顾问题。小林夫妇想让两老住到老年公寓去,可林大伯和王大妈不愿意。林大伯说,现在福州一些地方建起了老年公寓,开设了很多让人心动的服务项目,但这些养老机构离他居住的社区太远。他和老伴在社区生活了大半辈子,十分留恋这里的一草一木,对走出“家”门去养老,心理上还接受不了,老人不无憧憬地道出了他的心愿:“如果不出社区也能享受养老服务,那该有多好!”据笔者了解,与林大伯有同样想法的老人在福州不在少数。来自有关部门的一项调查显示:主城区70%的老年人乐意在所注活的社区安享晚年。
