伴随着中等职业教育发展的力度以及中等职业教育办学规模的不断扩大,中等职业教育已是我国高中阶段教育的重要组成部分,也是我国经济社会发展的重要基础,它担负着培养数以亿计的高素质的产业技术工人和高素质的社会急需的中高级技能型人才的重要任务。但是中等职业学校的学生素质差,生源匮乏。学生普遍存在英语基础不扎实、学习能力不强、恒心与毅力不足,对英语缺乏兴趣等不利因素,视上英语课简直为“受罪”或“煎熬”。英语教学效率不高,教学质量陷入低谷。
