十几年前,在悉尼这座澳大利亚最大的城市里,华人稀少,在当地庞大的地产业中也几无一席之地;但时光飞转至今天,华人在悉尼地产业的地位奇迹般地发生了变化,人们对于仿如一夜间崛起的华人地产业不能不刮目相看了。截至目前,悉尼市区鳞次栉比的商业大厦中,已经有约1/3归到了华人的名下,其中包括有百年历史的悉尼最有名的购物中心——维多利亚女王大厦;而规模日益扩大的悉尼华埠,90%的物业的拥有者是华人。
More than a decade ago, in Sydney, Australia’s largest city, there were few Chinese and few places in the huge local real estate industry; however, the time has now skyrocketed in the miraculous changes in Chinese real estate in Sydney People can not but admire the Chinese real estate that has risen like a night. To date, about one-third of commercial buildings dotted around downtown Sydney have been reverted to Chinese names, including the 100-year-old Sydney’s most famous shopping mall, the Queen Victoria Building; and the growing Sydney Port, 90% of the property owner is Chinese.
