液化石油气是一种良好的汽车燃料。在我国液化石油气资源较富裕的地区或部门,可因地制宜地采用液化石油气、汽油两用燃料的汽车燃油供给系统,使发动机既可燃用液化石油气又可燃用汽油,并且二者可在使用中迅速转换。两用燃料发动机不必对原机作改动,只须经过简便的改装即可使用。经发动机室内试验和道路试验证实,燃用液化石油气时发动机各种性能均与燃用汽油时基本接近。为此,不论从综合利用能源考虑,或从液化石油气价格比汽油低廉考虑,都给运输企业带来良好的经济效益。
