In recent years, the Soviet Union has adopted many technological improvement measures to improve the capacity of the railway and the ability to transport it. These include increasing shaft load. For example, the axle load in 1976 was 216kN (22t) and increased to 228kN (23.25t) in 1980. In the future, for a limited number of vehicles, including dedicated hoppers, the dead-center load will reach 245kN (25t). The 20-401.5 pelletizer with a shaft load of 245kN has completed the technical design and is intended to replace the 20-471 model. The main parameters of Model 20-4015 and Model 20-471 are shown in the table below.
