老年学是运用自然科学和社会科学有关学科的理论和方法对老年问题进行综合研究的一门学科。老年学研究人类老化的现象和过程,研究人类个体老化和群体老化的规律性,以及人类老化与生态环境、社会生活环境之间的相互关系及其本质联系。
Gerontology is a discipline that comprehensively studies the issue of the elderly by using the theories and methods of related disciplines in the natural sciences and social sciences. Gerontology studies the phenomenon and process of human aging and studies the regularity of individual aging and group aging as well as the relationship between human aging and ecological environment and social life environment and their essential relations.
