Zheng Shuhai from Qinghai Power Engineering Contracting Company sent a letter to this magazine. In his letter, he raised the question of how to translate the term “supervision”. Indeed, “supervision” has increasingly entered our lives, both as a profession and as a job title. For example, residents in Shanghai can hire a “supervisor” from a “supervising company” while renovating a home, and many formal interior decorating companies also have “supervising departments.” Of course, “supervision” is by no means limited to a home decoration industry. I am afraid that any major project in industrial or municipal construction should or should be “supervised.” From the letter, Zheng believes that the term “supervision” is imported from abroad, is it true? How do you translate “supervision” or wherever it has been translated? Or you come into contact with the native speakers How do you think about this issue?
