在我国社科情报界为数不多的“两栖”人员中,杨教同志堪称佼佼者。所谓“两栖”人员是指那些在情报工作实践和情报理论研究两个方面都有所建树的人士。杨教同志从事情报资料工作三十多年,有丰富的实践经验,成果频丰:从事社科情报理论研究迄今也已15个春秋,其理论著述可谓多产,且质量上乘者不少,此点已为社科情报界所公认。因此当我得悉他所在的湖北省社会科学院决定为他结集出版情报学论文选时(附带说一句,杨教同志一向淡泊名利,不事张扬。为他出专集的动议以前曾多次提出,
