大家知道,工件在箱式炉中加热时,传热方式有两种,一种是对流,一种是辐射。而由炉壁辐射传热占工件吸热的60%,若提高炉壁的辐射率,将提高炉子的加热效率。碳化硅(绿色)具有辐射率高(约为0.9;而粘土砖为0.75),而且有较高的耐热、耐急冷性能和高的耐火度。因此,我们采用在箱式电炉的炉墙上刷上一层碳化硅涂料,来提高其辐射率。具体做法是:1.清扫炉膛内炉墙,不得留有灰尘,以免碳化硅涂料粘结不牢。
