口罩早在19世纪末期便出现,并被作为医用产品使用,目的是降低医院中病人的感染率。20世纪初,伴随着抵御传染病需求的产生,口罩开始转为民用。在中国,口罩还被用于抵御风沙和御寒。2003年以后,口罩的每一次“走红”都伴随着空气污染或者传染病流行。
Masks appeared as early as the late 19th century and were used as medical products to reduce the rate of infection among patients in hospitals. At the beginning of the 20th century, with the emergence of the demand for resisting infectious diseases, masks began to be turned into civilian use. In China, masks are also used to resist wind and cold. After 2003, every time the mask is “popular”, it is accompanied by air pollution or infectious diseases.
