期刊的补缺工作,是期刊管理工作中一项十分重要的基础工作。期刊的特点之一,就是它具有系统性和完整性。每种刊物从它的创刊时起,每年、每卷、每期都是连续出版的。图书馆入藏的期刊,特别是核心期刊,从订购的时候起就打算每卷、每期保持完整,不能残缺不全。否则影响藏书体系的完整性及读者的使用。我馆是医学专业图书馆,订购中文医学期刊300多种,外文医学期刊50多种,基本保持着每种期刊的连续性。然而,由于种种社会原因及自然原因,在过刊合订本中偶尔也有缺期现象。九二年底,我们清点了现刊,对隔期未到馆的期刊做了记录,并到邮电局请求查找。在邮电、收发系统确实
The supplement of a journal is a very important basic work in managing a journal. One of the characteristics of journals is that it is systematic and complete. Each publication is published serially every year, every roll and every period since its publication. Periodicals, especially the core periodicals, which are deposited by the library, intend to keep each roll and each period intact from the time of order, without any incompleteness.
