液压技术是一门仍在发展中的技术,虽然近年来液压元件与系统已有大量进展,液压技术的应用仍仅仅是开始阶段,正在与其它传动开展竞争。和机械传动与电气传动相比较,液压传动比较灵活,容易控制力与运动,在这方面更有前途。预计在七十年代中期液压元件销售额将增长百分之二十以上。特别是在专用与自动化机械中将增长得更快些,如矿山机械、冶金机械、自动化与组合机床、重型机床、纺织机械、塑料机械、化工机械、工程机械、木工机械、锻压机械、造纸机械、包装、装瓶、废物处理等等机械。在液压技术这样的基础技术领域内,发展是持续不断而缓慢的。下面仅就其中一部分作一介绍。
