He was born in the tallest place in the world - the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. His power stems from the ancient system of church-state unity in the roof of the world. He was born in a way that is not democratically elected nor feudal hereditary but rather a system of reincarnation of living Buddha unique to Tibet. He is the Dalai Lama.
