嘉戎语是藏语支乃至藏缅语族语言中的一种极富特点的语言,它较完整地保留了汉藏语言的一些古老的特征。由于它方言分歧较大以及复杂的语言和历史文化背景,有人认为它是藏语的一种方言,有人则把它分为几种语言,因此嘉戎语的研究涉及到语言识别和方言划分等重要的理论问题。此文以实地调查资料为依据,通过比较研究,论证嘉戎语作为一种独立语言的完整性和方言的统一性,并对传统的方言理论进行了讨论,对语言识别标准提出了自己的看法。
Jia-rong language is a very characteristic language in the languages of Tibetan and even Burmese-Burman languages. It retains some ancient features of Sino-Tibetan language more completely. Because of its large dialect differences and complex language and historical and cultural backgrounds, some people think that it is a dialect of Tibetan language, while others divide it into several languages. Therefore, the study of Jiarong language involves language identification and dialect division Important theoretical issue. Based on the field survey data, this article demonstrates the integrity of Jiarong language as a kind of independent language and the unity of dialect by comparative study. It also discusses the traditional dialect theory and puts forward its own opinion on the standard of language recognition .
