《世界周刊》是中央电视台新闻频道强力推出的一档新闻杂志类、周刊性质的栏目。作为电视综合性、新闻性栏目,《世界周刊》不仅报道新近发生的国际新闻,更多的是围绕着当前社会大众感兴趣的话题,进行广泛深入的报道。通过对国际新闻的重新组合,精心策划,突出重点,形成杂志型新闻栏目。相比新闻简报的形式,它包含的信息量更大, 更关注新闻事件中的戏剧性情节,更在乎通过事件细节的选择和画面语言的运用让观众准确获取信息。
