JW系列水稻广亲和品系除了具有较高的籼、粳杂交亲和性外,在产量性状、生育期、农艺性状、抗病性、开花习性等方面较之02428等广亲和质源亦有不同程度的改良。有的品系与籼稻配制杂交F_1,未出现生育期超长现象。部分广亲和系还对核质互作不育系具有良好的育性恢复功能。用JW系列广亲和品系配制的业种间杂交F_1大多表现出较强的优势现象。
