写在热血·爱与勇气之前《激钢人3》是在《机动战舰 nadesico》TV 版中出现的剧中动画,可以说它是整个机动战舰作品的一条隐线,机动战舰的剧情与激钢人有着千丝万缕的联系,而片中的几个主角更是深受激钢人的影响。明人的偶像大豪寺凯是激钢人的狂热 FANS,在凯的影响下,明人也喜欢上了这个充满热血与正义的动画。凯死后,明人更是代替凯肩负起了守护 nadesico 的重任,从一个懦弱的少年到一个热血男子汉的转变,凯和激钢人可谓居功至尾。在 TV 版第八话中,明人在生与死的瞬间终于领悟了自己存在的价值:
