在微计算机系统中,通常采用两种不同类型的存贮器:易失性存贮器(如随机存取存贮器RAM)和非易失性存贮器(如只读存贮器ROM).ROM可分为制造厂编程和用户编程两种.前者用于固化某些使用中不需变更的程序或数据,后者又分为可擦除和不可擦除两种.其中紫外光可擦的只读存储器(EPROM)由于其使用灵活性而得到广泛的应用. 目前常用的EPROM品种较多,有Intel公司的2708,2716,8755,2732,2764和Motorola公司的TMS2716等.除微机开发系统能写几种型号EPROM外,一般的微型机不具备写EPROM的功能或仅能写某种型号的EPROM.因此,设计一种多功能EPROM写入器,将进一步推动微型机的发展与应用.
