一、外向型经济发展的地理背景珠江三角洲(珠江三角开放区包括7市13县,面积约2.5万平方公里,人口约1300万人)是珠江口最富饶的地区,人口密集,物产丰富,且临近港澳,侨汇密集,水陆交通便利。广州市又是祖国的南大门,广东省政治、经济、文化教育、科技的中心。开放以来,珠江三角洲外向型经济、乡镇企业凭藉得天独厚之条件,蓬勃发展,成为珠江三角洲最突出之产业,国民经济收入增长最快,创汇率最高,是最享盛誊的经济支柱,社会发展的动力。
I. Geographical Background of Export-oriented Economic Development The Pearl River Delta (Pearl River Delta Open Area consists of 7 cities and 13 counties with an area of about 25,000 square kilometers and a population of about 13 million) is the most fertile area in the Pearl River Mouth with dense population and abundant resources. Near Hong Kong and Macao, overseas remittance intensive, water and land transportation facilities. Guangzhou is also the southern frontier of the motherland, the center of Guangdong’s political, economic, cultural and educational, science and technology. Since the opening up, the export-oriented economy and the township and village enterprises of Pearl River Delta have become the most prominent industries in the Pearl River Delta by virtue of their unique conditions. The income of the national economy has been growing at the fastest pace with the highest foreign exchange rate. It is the most important pillar of the economy and social development power.
