1996年4月,笔者赴英国参加两个国际会议,国际英语教师协会(International Associationof Teachers of English as a Foreign Language,简称IATEFL)第30届年会以及诗歌与语言学会(简称PALA)年会。 IATEFL总部设在英国,由世界各地教外国人英语的教师组成,有以个人身份或团体法人加入的,也有IATEFL和其他国家英语教师协会同建Associate的关系。活动内容为相互交换信息,通讯,派人参加对方的年会,等等。本次IATEFL邀请我(高校大学外语教学研究会副会长)和刘道义(中国教育学会外语教学研究会理事长)教授出席,主要目的之一是希望与中国
In April 1996, I went to England to attend two international conferences, the 30th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) and the Annual Meeting of the Society of Poetry and Languages (PALA). Headquartered in the UK, IATEFL is made up of faculty members from all over the world who teach English as a foreigner, either as individuals or as corporate bodies, and IATEFL in partnership with other national English teachers associations. Activities for mutual exchange of information, communications, sent to attend each other’s annual meeting, and so on. The IATEFL invited me (Professor of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Institute of University University) and Professor Liu Daoyi (Chairman of the Institute of Foreign Language Teaching and Research of China Education Society) to attend the meeting.
