留守儿童这一特殊社会群体产生的时间并不长,但随着农村城镇化进程的加快,这一群体在迅速膨胀,由于他们缺少父母关爱和监督,这些孩子很容易出现行为偏差,甚至养成不良习惯,如性格孤僻、感情脆弱、自暴自弃、读书上进的观念淡薄、认为读书无用.大部分留守学生的道德品质、行为习惯存在严重的问题,留守学生现象也成为一个不容忽视的社会问题.
