Much of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas has not yet been developed and many areas remain unexploited. It is expected that a considerable portion of the promising oil and gas resources of Kazakhstan will be located in the Caspian Sea off the coast. Future hydrocarbon discovery and development will make use of international technology. At present, there are four most undeveloped basin / oil and gas regions in Kazakhstan with the most hydrocarbon potential: ① Beilihai (surrounding Caspian Sea) basin; ② Zhongli Basin
