湖北省农科院粮食作物研究所是以水稻、小麦、大麦、红薯等作物的新品种选育及高产栽培技术研究为主的农业科研机构。现有科技人员62人,其中高级职称28人,中级职称13人,有国家级专家2人,省级专家5人,享受国务院特殊津贴12人。1997年,湖北省科委和湖北省农科院在该所的基础上联合组建成立了湖北省粮食作物育种中心。
Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Food Crops is based on rice, wheat, barley, sweet potato and other crops breeding new varieties of high yielding cultivation techniques and research-oriented agricultural research institutions. The existing scientific and technological personnel 62 people, including 28 senior titles, intermediate grade 13 people, there are 2 national experts, 5 provincial experts, enjoy the State Council special allowance of 12 people. In 1997, Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Commission and Hubei Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences jointly set up the Hubei Provincial Crops Breeding Center on the basis of the institute.
