阿摩司·奥兹(Amos Oz 1939—)是当今以色列文坛最杰出的作家之一,希伯来语作家中诺贝尔文学奖呼声最高的一位,以色列本-古里安大学希伯来文学系终身教授。他的主要作品《爱与黑暗的故事》(2002)、《我的米海尔》(1968)、《一样的海》(1999)、《地下室里的黑豹》(1995)、《了解女人》(1989)等已被译为三十多种文字,在全世界拥有广泛的读者,也曾多次获得大奖,其中包括法国的费米娜奖(外国作品)、歌德文化奖、以色列国家文学奖、阿斯图里亚斯亲王奖以及诺贝尔文学奖提名等。《华盛顿邮报》评论:“国家需要能代表其良心发出呼声的作家。这样的作家世所罕见,所幸以色列有奥兹。”
Amos Oz (1939-) is one of the most prominent writers in the Israeli literary world today, one of the highest-ranking Nobel Prize winners in Hebrew writers, the Hebrew literature department of the Ben-Gurion University in Israel lifetime professor. His main works, Love and Darkness (2002), My My Haier (1968), Sea Like (1999), Panthers in the Basement (1995), Know the Woman 1989) has been translated into more than thirty languages, has extensive readers worldwide and has won numerous prizes, including the Fermina Prize in France (Foreign Works), the Goethe Cultural Prize, the Israel National Prize for Literature, Prince Asturias Prize and the Nobel Prize for Literature. The Washington Post commented: “The country needs writers who can speak out on behalf of their conscience, a writer rarely found in the world, but fortunately, Israel has Oz.” "
