Objective: To investigate the quality of life and temperament of children with epilepsy and the relationship between them, and to provide a theoretical basis for the early intervention treatment of epileptic children. Methods: The QOLIE-31 and IQT were used to evaluate the quality of life and temperament of 42 eligible children with epilepsy and 56 normal children. Results: The quality of life of children with epilepsy was lower than that of the control group (tQOL total score = 3.585, P <0.01). The distribution of temperament of children with epilepsy was different from that of the normal group. The number of children with epilepsy was 40.5% 19.6% of the normal group (χ2 = 6.417, P <0.05). The epilepsy group was higher than normal in scores of temperament, such as activity level, rhythm, adaptability, reaction intensity, persistence, emotional essence, (P <0.05). The scores of quality of life in children with different temperament types of epilepsy were significantly different (P <0.05), and those of hard-bearing type Quality of life score was low, no significant difference between other types (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The quality of life of children with epilepsy is significantly different from that of normal children, and the quality of life of children with epilepsy is poor. Epilepsy has a significant impact on children’s temperament, which makes the temperament of children tend to be negative. The quality of life of children with epilepsy There is a correlation between temperament type and quality of life in children with hard-to-maintain epilepsy.
