邓小平理论基本问题是“三基本”、“五当代”重要问题之一,邓小平理论首要的基本问题就是要搞清楚什么是社会主义,怎样建设社会主义,它是邓小平理论的科学社会主义基础。邓小平丰富和发展了马克思主义,第一次科学地、深刻地、精辟地揭示出社会主义本质是解放生产力,发展生产力,消灭剥削,消除两极分化,最终达到共同富裕,把对社会主义的认识提高到新的科学水平。新时期的解放思想,关键就是在这个问题上的解放思想。
