档案工作者应该了解祖国档案工作的历史发展情况。因为作为一个档案工作者,不但应具有一定的政治理论水平,熟练的业务技能,同时还需要丰富的历史知识,特别是应该熟悉本门业务的历史知识。只有这样,才可能有广阔的眼界,才可能认识到自己所从事的档案工作是具有如何重要的意义,才可能了解到本门业务的发展方向。应用马克思、列宁主义的观点、立场、方法系统地总结和阐述中国档案工作的历史发展是一门专门的科学课目。我们现在才开始收集材料进行研究。本文的目的仅在於极其简要地介绍一下我国过去档案工作发展的梗概。中国的档案工作是有悠久的历史的。根据可靠的史实和大量现存的历史档案文件证明,远在三千多年前的殷代,中国即已存在档案工作,并在各个不同的历史时期获得了不同的发展。殷奴隶主王朝已经开始在国家机构内设置大史、左史、右史等人员掌管文书和档案工作,这些史,一方面负责宗教祭祀,同
