大肠杆菌丰富的膜蛋白是研究蛋白质结构与功能关系较理想的模型,尤其是在膜蛋白Omp A的研究方面,近年来已取得一些有意义的成就。大肠杆菌膜蛋白Omp A有多种功能:维持外膜结构的完整性,作为各种不同噬菌体(如Ox~2、TuII、K3)感染的受体、细胞吸收大肠杆菌素K和L的必需结构。本文作者选择性地分离了不同噬菌体受体功能缺陷但Omp A含量正常的Omp A突变体,通过分析不同噬菌休受体功能丧失对Omp A其它功能的影响,以确定该蛋白不同功能间的相互关系:并用部分水解和SDS聚丙酰胺凝胶电泳等方法,探讨了Omp A蛋白结构改变对功能的影响及其相互关系。
Escherichia coli abundant membrane protein is a good model to study the relationship between protein structure and function, especially in the research of membrane protein Omp A, and some meaningful achievements have been made in recent years.
