根据病区广大干部和群众对克山病是“水土病”的认识,我们在推行克山病综合预防措施的基础上,一九六三年把机井改水作为一项实验性预防措施,首先在光荣,北合两个重病大队试点。文化大革命以来全面铺开,现已钻成防病电机井305眼,其中病区259眼,占303个自然屯的85%。病区群众反映极好,把机井水誉为毛主席送来的“健康水”和“幸福水”。现将光荣、北合两个大队,机井改水对克山病预防效果报告如下:
