Rubidium-81 myocardial perfusion scintigraphy and mobile plate electrocardiography were performed on 56 consecutive patients undergoing selective coronary angiography in order to assess the diagnostic ability of these tests for significant ischemia and coronary artery stenosis. Patients were scored for their treadmill exercise and were monitored with a modified V5 lead. When arriving at the end of the exercise, 2 millidarres of rubidium-81 was infused intravenously, followed by an r-blinking camera for recovery of the anterior and left anterior oblique Bit imaging. The results of each test by the two separate judgments, and then compared with coronary angiography. The results showed that the myocardial perfusion scintigraphy had higher sensitivity (0.91 vs 0.79) and specificity (0.91 vs 0.64) than myocardial electrocardiography test, and the specificity of myocardial perfusion was significantly different (P <0.05).
