加入世界贸易组织以后,我国经济跻身世界竞技场。迅速提升产业竞争力成为事关天津经济发展全局的重大课题。近年来,天津市委、市政府把结构调整、技术创新和对外开放作为经济工作的三件大事来抓,从根本上讲,都是为了提升天津产业竞争力,进而增强天津经济的综合实力。天津经济能够持续保持两位数高速增长,成为全国发展最快的地区之一和天津历史发展最快时期之一,是产业生命力和竞争优势的生动体现。应对入世,要认真分析和研究我市现实和潜在的产业比较优势是什么,影响竞争力和加快发展的障碍在哪里,找准努力方向,变被动为主动,进一步巩固现实优势、开发潜在优势,并努力转化为现实竞争力,构筑新的产业
After joining the World Trade Organization, China’s economy ranks among the world arena. The rapid upgrading of industrial competitiveness has become a major issue concerning the overall economic development in Tianjin. In recent years, the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government have taken structural adjustment, technological innovation and opening up as the three major tasks of economic work. Fundamentally speaking, all are to enhance the industrial competitiveness of Tianjin and further enhance the comprehensive strength of Tianjin’s economy. As one of the fastest growing regions in China and one of the fastest growing periods in Tianjin history, Tianjin’s economy can sustain double-digit growth at a high speed and is a vivid manifestation of industrial vitality and competitive advantage. To tackle the accession to the WTO, we must conscientiously analyze and study what is the reality and potential industrial comparative advantage of our city, where are the obstacles that affect competitiveness and speed up development, identify the direction of our efforts, change from passive to active, further consolidate the real advantages and develop potential advantages, And strive to translate into real competitiveness, build a new industry
