This paper introduces the general situation of Mentougou earthquake and analyzes the correlation between Mentougou and natural earthquakes. It is concluded that the mine activity in Mentougou coal mine can be used as a good medium-scale monitoring method to monitor the strong earthquakes in the central and western metropolitan area. The mine activity of Mentougou coal mine is used as the geological basis of the monitoring post of the stress changes in the capital enclosure. The mechanical model of mine shock as a precursor of earthquake is preliminarily established, and the geological basis of mine earthquake prediction of natural earthquake is provided.
