《梦的蒙太奇:兰斯顿.休斯的艺术与人生》运用多种资料和多种视角,既诠释作为“人民诗人”的休斯的多类体裁的文学作品,又论及作为凡人的休斯的引发争议的生活隐私。本文试图简略介绍文集中数篇具有代表性的论文,以休斯常用的“梦”的意象为切入点,总结“梦”在文集的特定语境中的多义内涵,据此归纳出“梦”的开放式进程——起始、持续与更新,揭示休斯的文艺视域与今日的文学世界之间的关联性。
“The Montage of Dreams: The Art and Life of Langston Hughes” uses a variety of materials and perspectives to interpret not only the literary genres of Hughes’ many genres as the “poet of the people” Hughes’ controversial life privacy. This article attempts to briefly introduce several representative papers in the anthology, starting from the image of “Dream” commonly used by Hughes and concluding the polysemy connotation of “Dream” in the specific context of the anthology. Summarized the “dream” of the open process - start, continue and update, reveals Hughes ’s literary perspective and the relevance of today’ s literary world.
