This article discusses the hardware and software architecture of a distributed computerized numerical control (DMNC) system. The second part of the article elaborated the communication structure and working principle of DMNC system in detail. Inter-machine communication interface hardware and multi-machine coordination of operating software is the relationship between the operating system software structure and work depends on the communication hardware structure and information transmission. The article also elaborates on the design concept of “using communication memory as a part of the microcomputer memory of each subsystem and utilizing the instruction of depositing / withdrawing directly without communication protocol”. The third part of the article discusses the software structure of the DMNC system. Firstly, the principle of DMNC system is discussed. The load balance and function configuration of DMNC system are analyzed. The background program and structure of real time control of each subsystem are given.
