面临世纪之交 ,社会正在转型 ,信息网络正在改变一切。中国社科学术期刊陷入了调整、震荡和难以自拔的困境之中 ,面临着生存与发展的危机。把握机遇 ,锐意改革 ,面向社会 ,面向读者 ,不断调整自己的位置 ,永远保持自己的鲜明个性 ,中国社科学术期刊一定能摆脱困境 ,走出危机的阴影 ,而立于不败之地。另一方面 ,我们应当正确认识社会科学学术期刊。社会科学学术期刊的主要功能在于传播学术理论新信息、新成果 ,进行科学文化积累 ,其价值主要不在经济效益上。我们不能以通俗刊物的销行标准来要求学术刊物 ,责难学术刊物 ,更不能以社会科学学术期刊发行量少而断定其学术水准低 ,没有存在的必要。社会科学学术期刊影响的层面不在大众 ,而在政治家、决策者和文化工作者。时代需要社会科学 ,社会需要社会科学 ,政治家需要社会科学 ,企业家需要社会科学 ,专家学者和青年学人更需要社会科学 ,社会科学学术期刊大可不必妄自菲薄
Faced with the turn of the century, society is undergoing a transformation and the information network is changing everything. Chinese social science journals fall into the dilemma of adjustment, concussion and indulgence, facing the crisis of survival and development. Seize the opportunity, reform with keen determination, facing the society and readers, constantly adjust their position and always maintain their own distinct personality. Chinese academic journals of social sciences will be able to get out of their predicament and get out of the shadow of crisis, leaving them invincible. On the other hand, we should correctly understand social science journals. The main function of the social science journals is to disseminate academic information, new achievements, scientific and cultural accumulation, the value of which is mainly not economic. We can not ask for academic journals and blame academic journals for the standard of marketing of popular journals, nor can we conclude that their academic standards are low and there is no such thing as the low circulation of academic journals in social sciences. The impact of social science journals is out of reach for the general public, but among politicians, policy makers and cultural workers. Times need social sciences, social needs social sciences, politicians need social sciences, entrepreneurs need social sciences, experts and scholars and young scholars need social sciences, social sciences academic journals need not be self-deprecating
