由美国气象学会（AMS）、巴西国家技术发展中心（CNPQ）、巴西国家宇宙空间技术研究所（INPE）、联合国世界气象组织（WMO）、巴西气象学会（BMS）等单位发起和资助召开的第一次南半球国际气象学术会议,于1983年7月31日至8月6日,在巴西圣鸠斯、多斯、坎布斯市（Sao Jos′dos Campos、葡萄牙文）召开。参加这次会议的国家和单位有:阿根廷、奥地利、澳大利亚、玻利维亚、巴西本地等委会、巴西国家宇宙空间技术研究所、巴西各地代表、智力、中国、英国、法国、肯尼亚、墨西哥、新西兰、秘鲁、葡萄牙、南非、荷兰、乌拉圭、美国、联合国世界气象组织等18个国家21个单位,共199名代表。 我国由国家海洋局海洋环境预报中心派出代表团,出席了会议,并在会议中宣读了论文,受到与会者的欢迎。
Sponsored and sponsored by the AMS, CNPQ, INPE, UN WMO and BMS, A conference on the international meteorology in the southern hemisphere was held in Sao José dos Campos, Brazil from July 31 to August 6, 1983. The countries and units participating in the conference are: Argentina, Austria, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil and other local committees, Brazil’s National Institute of Aerospace Technology, representatives from all over Brazil, Chile, China, the United Kingdom, France, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, the Netherlands, Uruguay, the United States, the United Nations World Meteorological Organization, 18 countries and 21 units, a total of 199 delegates. China sent a delegation from the Marine Environment Prediction Center of the State Oceanic Administration to attend the meeting and read out the papers at the meeting and was welcomed by the participants.
