机械工业粉末冶金科技情报网成立于1968年,由于当时国内客观因素和条件的限制,该网始终未能正常开展活动。为了尽快适应社会信息化需要,集中并调动我国粉末冶金行业科技情报力量的优势,更好地加强粉末冶金行业科技情报工作的管理,增进横向联系和交流,促进我国粉末冶金工业的发展,经机械电子工业部机械基础产品司和机械电子工业部机械科学技术情报研究所批准,机械工业粉末冶金科技情报网已于1989年1月起正式恢复活动,并重新纳入机械电子工业部机械行业一级情报网管理范围。机械工业粉末冶金科技情报网的挂靠单位仍然为北京市粉末冶金研究所,该所受机电部委托,主管全国粉末冶金行业的科技情报工作并兼管网的工作。粉末冶金科技情报网是由从事粉末冶金的科研单位、设计单位、生产单位、使用单位以及大专院校,在自愿原则的基础上组成的跨行业、跨地区、跨部门的横向联合情报网络。凡自愿参加者,不分隶属关系,不分所有制性质,只要承认网的章程,均可申请入网并参加网的一切活动,达到及时掌握和沟通国内外粉末冶金技术、经济、市场信息的目的。机械工业粉末冶金科技情报网办公室设在北京市粉末冶金研究所技术情报室。邮政编码100075,联系人杜桂馥、张宝珍。
