2008年对韩国电影来说不是丰收的一年,尽管政府采取积极的扶植政策,演员们也纷纷配合自降片酬,导演更是不断推出心血力作。今年5月,韩国电影更是经历了冰与火的考验,一方面是当月本土电影的票房占有率已经降到了6年来的最低水平。另一方面,韩国的电视剧市场却是蓬勃发展,有声有色。韩国国产片的同期票房收入创6年来最低点,本土电影票房的萎靡不振已经开始严重威胁整个电影行业的发展。虽然在11月份,孙艺珍主演的《妻子结婚了》成为今年为数不多的突破盈利分界点的韩国国产影片,但依旧颓势难挽……
In 2008, it was not a year of bumper harvest for Korean films. Despite the government’s proactive policy of supporting foreign films, the filmmakers also worked hard to make their films better. In May of this year, South Korean films experienced the test of ice and fire. On the one hand, the local box office receipts for the current month have dropped to the lowest level in six years. On the other hand, South Korea’s television drama market is thriving and impressive. South Korean domestic box office receipts over the same period hit the lowest point in six years, the domestic movie box office’s slump has begun to seriously threaten the development of the film industry. Although in November, Sun Yizhen starred in “Wives Married,” becoming one of the few Korean home-made films that broke the profit-making threshold this year, it is still hard to turn down.
