Objective To investigate the relationship between migraine and gestational hypertension and its effect on delivery outcome. Methods Fifty-six migraine mothers in our hospital were selected as the observation group. Eighty pregnant women without migraine were selected as the control group. The incidence of gestational hypertension and delivery outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of gestational hypertension in the observation group was 24.1%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (P = 0.035). There was no significant difference in average gestational age, newborn birth weight, death rate and Apgar score between the two groups (P > 0.05). There was no significant difference in maternal placental maturity, placenta volume and amniotic fluid volume before delivery between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion Migraine during pregnancy may increase the incidence of gestational hypertension, but not with the outcome of adverse childbirth no significant correlation.
