Guangdong Provincial People’s Government held the congress of advanced collectives and advanced workers in financial accounting in early June. There were 266 advanced collective representatives of financial and accounting enterprises and 529 advanced workers attending the meeting. This is the first grand gathering of finance and accounting circles in Guangdong Province since the founding of the People’s Republic. Among advanced collectives, they have made outstanding contributions in turning losses into profits and increasing revenues and reducing expenditures. They have made remarkable achievements in financial system reform, the implementation of economic responsibility system, strengthening of economic accounting, and financial consolidation.
