Ten years after promulgation and implementation of the “Statistics Law”, it has played a positive role in reform and opening up, in invigorating the economy, in promoting the transition from a planned economy to a market economy, in enhancing the statistic and social status, in participating in decision-making by statistics, and in transforming the law enforcement concepts of vast numbers of statisticians. After the promulgation of the “Provisions on the Supervision and Inspection of Statistics in Shanxi Province” passed at the Shanxi Provincial People’s Congress in 1986, the awareness of law enforcement agencies at all levels of statistics has been further enhanced. With the three major inspections of law enforcement, the digital quality of state organs, factories, mines and enterprises at all levels in Xiangfen County has been further improved.
