左云县西沟村地处塞上高原, 是大同煤田西部山区尖口山脚下 的一个小山村。全村共有182户、 586口人,土地面积7698亩,其中 耕地2350亩。丰富的煤炭资源使 西沟村发展煤炭产业得天独厚。 党的十一届三中全会以来,该 村党总支和村委会带领全村干部 群众,认真贯彻执行党的基本路线 和各项方针政策,不断深化改革, 艰苦创业,开拓进取,充分发挥煤 炭资源优势,综合开发各业生产, 振兴发展经济和各项社会事业,物 质文明和精神文明取得了翻天覆 地的巨大变化,被人们誉为“塞上 小康明珠”。
