Germany and Japan were both aggressors and defeated countries in World War II. However, the post-war attitudes of the two countries on the issue of guilty responsibility for the war of aggression were in stark contrast with each other. First, the victorious nations’ different occupation of Germany and Japan determines the thoroughness of the fascist liquidation between the two countries.
