萨帕先生从大约40位国际知名的建筑师中争得了这个设计任务。他本人就是巴赫伊教的信奉者。巴赫伊教义传布二百年来,已在五大洲建立了自己的活动基地。礼拜堂本身就是一个社区中心,有自己的托儿所、诊所、学校、老人之家、杳客之家和图书馆等。它是宗教精神、社区精神与实际活动空间的结合,强调亲密与团结——不只是一种精神,而且必须付诸行动。每一个这种礼拜堂都必须九边九门,这是其教义的象征。
Mr. Sapa won this design task from about 40 internationally renowned architects. He himself is a believer of the Bahá’í religion. Bahri’s teachings have spread over 200 years and have established their own activity bases on five continents. The Chapel itself is a community center, with its own nursery, clinic, school, home for the elderly, guest house and library. It is a combination of religious spirit, community spirit and practical activity space, emphasizing intimacy and unity - not just a spirit, but also must be put into action. Every such chapel must be nine-nines and nine doors. This is a symbol of its doctrine.
