The emphasis of English teaching in undergraduate English classroom is to improve students ’ability to use English. Therefore, in teaching, it is necessary to grasp this key point and take effective measures to cultivate students’ ability of thinking independently and solving problems proactively. This article mainly analyzes the requirements of applied undergraduate English to students’ abilities, and puts forward some measures to improve students’ learning abilities, and promotes the improvement of students’ learning efficiency.
