“Anger” is a microcosm of the tragedy of a modern family. Rose demonstrated the contradictions and conflicts between the external society and the individual in two aspects: family, social supervision and the revolt of young people. It shows the dilemma of the Jewish nation and its tradition in the modern American society and shows a strong sense of national hardship. At the same time, with his distinctive literary imagination, Rose reproduces the moment of history, allowing readers to reconstruct the memory and reflect on history through the concern about the protagonist’s miserable situation and historical facts.
