Effect of Forest Management Measures on Soil Respiration and Its Mechanism

Global warming is one of the hottest environment problems.One of the reasons is the sharp increase of CO2 in atmosphere.Soil respiration in forest ecosystems accounts to 60%-90%of total ecosystem respiration and is therefore one of the key components of the global C cycle.This paper summarized different responses of soil respiration to forest management measures,and described the relevant researches at home and abroad on the effect of management measures like harvesting,forest fertilization,soil improving(Liming),litter removal, and prescribed burning on soil respiration.
