科技论文是科研活动的重要产出形式．其数量和质蛀在一定程度上可以反映一个地区或行业的科技发展状况、科技实力和科技创新水平。自1987年以来，中国科技信息研究所一直承担着中国科技人员在国内外发表论文数量和影响的统计分析工作，每年定期公布中国科技论文发表趋势和状况。
