1990年,中日书法界发生了一件值得纪念的事件—中日书法家在北京民族文化宫联手举办了首届“中日友好自作诗书法交流展”。中方参展的有启功、陆石、沈鹏、刘艺等书法家;日方参展的是由渡边寒鸥率领的9位著名书家。也许在当时谁也没有预料到,从那时开始,中日友好自作诗书展每年一届,一办就是连续25届,而且如花朵在中日两国的大地上竞相开放,成为中日书坛竭诚合作、友好交流的典范。
In 1990, there was a memorable event in the calligraphy circle between China and Japan - the Sino-Japanese calligraphers jointly organized the first “China-Japan Friendship Calligraphy and Calligraphy Symposium” at the Beijing National Palace of Culture.
