台山县农科所地处丘陵山坑田地区,从1975年开始试种杂交水稻,亩产只有320斤,到1977年最高亩产才达778.6斤。从1978年早造开始总结低产原因,开展高产攻关试验,当造就获亩产887.5斤,从1979年起亩产超千斤,其中最高亩产达1132.6斤。现将栽培试验总结如下。一、丘陵山坑田杂交水稻生长的特点及其低产原因和高产栽培试验的设想丘陵山坑田杂交水稻前期生长缓慢、分蘖少;中期易反酸发赤,植株矮小,穗短粒少;
